A statement to which VerAngola had access also states that Teté António and Tulinabo Mushingi spoke about the situation in eastern DRC, focusing on the implementation of the Luanda and Nairobi Processes and the sending of SADC Forces to the Democratic Republic of Congo.

According to Ambassador Tulinabo Mushingi, the United States of America appreciates the efforts made by João Lourenço in the search for a peaceful and lasting solution between Rwanda and the DRC.

At the meeting, the two diplomats also discussed humanitarian issues in the DRC, a country with elections scheduled for December 20th.
