Ambassadors continue to discuss growth in bilateral cooperation between Angola and the USA

The increase in bilateral cooperation between Angola and the United States of America, in the most varied areas, was on the agenda of a meeting between the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Téte António, and the ambassador of the United States of America to Angola, Tulinabo Mushingi.

The meeting took place this Tuesday at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MIREX), and also served for the two entities to discuss other aspects linked to the African continent and the official visit of the President of the Republic, João Lourenço, to the USA, highlighting the meeting with President Joe Biden.

A statement to which VerAngola had access also states that Teté António and Tulinabo Mushingi spoke about the situation in eastern DRC, focusing on the implementation of the Luanda and Nairobi Processes and the sending of SADC Forces to the Democratic Republic of Congo.

According to Ambassador Tulinabo Mushingi, the United States of America appreciates the efforts made by João Lourenço in the search for a peaceful and lasting solution between Rwanda and the DRC.

At the meeting, the two diplomats also discussed humanitarian issues in the DRC, a country with elections scheduled for December 20th.
