The flagship oil company holds 51 percent of the shares in Sonangalp - a fuel distribution company that is Galp's partner - and 20 percent in the construction company Mota-Engil Angola.
The authorization to sell the shares was determined by presidential decree. According to Bloomberg, cited by Jornal de Negócios, the sale of the two stakes will be made through an initial public offering of shares.
Under the privatisation programme, the state plans to sell its holdings in 195 companies by 2022, with the aim of restructuring the public business sector.
