The 6th edition of AOG 2025, presented to the press this Thursday by Energy Capital & Power, is seeing record attendance. "The 2025 edition will feature 78 exhibiting companies, the highest number since the event's founding, representing a 20 percent increase over the previous year," reports a statement sent to VerAngola.

Furthermore, the presence of the President of the Republic at the event's opening ceremony is also noteworthy.

"The confirmed presence of the President of the Republic at the opening ceremony reinforces the event's national importance," the statement reads.

Another new development is the first-time presence of CEOs of international companies, such as BP and Eni.

"This year's edition also stands out for its strong international component, with the presence, for the first time, of the CEOs of BP and Eni, among others, together in Angola, underscoring the conference's growing prestige. Journalists from CNBC, Namibia, and South Africa will also be present," the statement states.

The conference program has also been enhanced, featuring "more technical sessions, panel discussions, and networking spaces, as well as promotional prices to facilitate public access."

"Among the most important institutional moments are the opening and closing ceremonies, tributes to historical figures in the sector, and strategic announcements by market operators," the statement states.

It is also worth noting that this year's edition takes place in a particularly special year for Angola, as the country marks 50 years of national independence on November 11th.

"This year is very special. The conference is part of the national celebrations, which gives it a very strong symbolic meaning. We will celebrate the past, but with an eye on the future of the sector," said conference director Luís Conde.

"The continued success of the Angola Oil & Gas Conference is due to the collaborative work between the government, companies, and international partners. The conference is now a benchmark on the African continent because it showcases a modern, stable, and investment-friendly Angola," added Luís Conde.
