The official explained that, in two years, PAPE had generated 32,241 direct jobs and 45,088 indirect jobs.

Pedro Filipe, quoted by Rádio Nacional de Angola (RNA), said that the results are below the Government's forecasts because of covid-19 and added that the Executive remains concerned about the levels of unemployment in the country.

"We have an unemployment rate of 34.1 percent, this assumes, in absolute numbers, something like more than five million unemployed and it is a very big challenge for any country, for any government, hence the Executive's agenda of concerns regarding employability has always been present," he stated.

The secretary also spoke about the microcredit program: "We plan to cover 10,000 and at the moment we have 6,995 young people covered".
