According to the holder of the Health portfolio, the specialization course in nursing will contribute "to decisive training for the consolidation of a robust, inclusive and more humanized health system aligned with the needs of the population".
The minister informed that, until 2027, the sector's attention will be focused on training. Quoted in a statement from the Ministry of Health, to which VerAngola had access, Sílvia Lutucuta explained that in the "quinquennium 2023-2027, the sector's priority is the training of staff at all levels and areas, with a focus on the continuous development of professional careers of health".
On the occasion, the minister highlighted that the step taken with this launch aims, above all, to reinforce the "capacity to respond to challenges".
"It is essential to highlight that the step they are taking today essentially aims to strengthen their ability to respond to the health challenges they face and that, to achieve this, it was necessary to form true health teams, where no one can be left out," she said.
"To strengthen the health system, the Government, with the support of the World Bank, launched a financing program that will enable the training and specialization of 38 thousand health professionals, with the nursing career receiving the highest quota, 18 thousand beneficiaries", says the statement.
The holder of the Health portfolio also made it known that the training will cover the entire country, and will give priority to the "most needed" specialties, such as maternal and neonatal nursing, emergency and trauma nursing, medical-surgical nursing, nursing in childcare and pediatrics, nursing in community health, nursing in intensive care, nursing in nephrology, nursing in anesthesiology and resuscitation, as well as nursing in dermatology with an emphasis on wounds.
