Located in the district of Calumbo, municipality of Viana, this unit was built in a space measuring 62,000 square meters and has diagnostic areas with clinical laboratories with expertise in microbiology, antibiogram and molecular biology, writes Angop.

CETEP also has a cafeteria, kitchen, laundry, a helipad, dormitories and 200 residences for its employees.

According to Angop, the unit is equipped with 73 beds for intensive care that are equipped with monitors, fans, feeding pumps, among others.

It also has eight vehicles, including two buses for transporting employees and two ambulances.

The inauguration concerns only the first phase of the project, which will have two more phases: the second phase of this unit will include emergency services, three operating rooms, an infirmary, an intensive care unit, an auditorium, among others.

The last phase foresees the construction of a central laboratory, a vaccine conservation area and an infirmary.

Sílvia Lutucuta, Minister of Health, cited by Jornal de Angola, took the opportunity to mention that the center "is an honor and privilege, because it sets a concrete example of the Executive's strong commitment to building a resilient health system".
