In a statement published on its official website, Caio Induscar said that the first batch of the 132 vehicles purchased will head to Angola later this month. "The vehicles acquired leave from Botucatu, where Caio's manufacturing unit is located, in the interior of São Paulo, for Angola. The first lot of the vehicles will be shipped in early November", can be read in the note.
The company states that it has decided to assume "the commitment with the mobility market and has created a set of fast, easy to apply and affordable solutions for the biological safety of the modal, called Caio Project" - a protection kit to isolate the drivers, with "glass components".
The buses, in Apache Vip model, are about 10 meters long and have a total capacity for 65 passengers. They also have reserved seats for people with reduced mobility and elderly, air conditioning, LED lighting, preparation for integration of an electronic ticket system, among others, the note adds.
