Traditional authority of Uíge considers PR’s speech to the Nation “very rich”

The sovereign of the province of Uíge, King António Charles Mwana Huta Cabamba, considered the President's speech to the Nation "very rich" and "hopeful", urging Angolans to unite for the country's development.

:

"I think that the speech [by the President of the Republic] was very rich and I am really going to the province and transmit it to my communities, because PR gives us hope and I think there are projects for the development of the country and Angolans", said the sovereign at the parliament headquarters in Luanda.

Speaking at the end of the solemn opening session of the second parliamentary year of the current legislature, which featured the message on the State of the Nation presented by President João Lourenço, the king of Uíge called for unity for the development of Angola.

"There are already projects for the country's development and this project is not just for one person, because we all belong to the State and we need to stop talking and [de] unite to do it", he responded to Lusa.

João Lourenço, in his address to the Nation, spoke about the actions carried out by his executive in the five-year period 2017-2022, as well as some achievements in 2023 in the areas of health, education, infrastructure, agriculture, industry, commerce and others.

According to António Charles Mwana Huta Cabamba, João Lourenço's speech was the intervention "expected by the Angolan people".

"From what we heard, it was really expected for the people of Angola, the President said that no one is outside this carriage, he also said that the situation the country is experiencing is not restricted just to Angola, but to the world in general", he highlighted, underlining that "everyone knows" the moment the world is currently going through.

"It is to say that the crisis that Angola is experiencing today is not fueled by one person, but rather a crisis for the entire world and each one of us, from the speech we heard, must also do it in our own way and make a contribution to our people" he concluded traditional authority.
