In the presentation of the Bolsa Social, the president of the Executive Committee of Bodiva, Walter Pacheco, highlighted that the main objective is, through the creation of business opportunities for families in rural areas, to combat poverty and that the initiative will contribute to stability financial situation of many families.

According to Walter Pacheco, the project foresees a minimum annual income of 450 thousand kwanzas per family, stressing that it will promote initiatives in various regions of the country.

"The objective is that the money that is allocated to these families generates profit and that this profit is reinvested by the families. The logic is that the more families work, the more profits they will have", said Walter Pacheco, speaking to the press.

The Minister of Finance, Vera Daves de Sousa, highlighted, at the opening of the Bodiva Bolsa Social launch event, the positive impact that this initiative will have on the lives of many organizations and families.

Vera Daves de Sousa highlighted that in this way, Bodiva provides a platform where investors can channel their resources towards projects that aim to generate positive social impact, without prejudice to the legitimate expectations of being able to obtain financial returns.

"The idea behind Bolsa Social is to align the world of investments with social values and objectives, it is, therefore, a broader and less conventional approach to the success of projects that help the most vulnerable families, creating conditions for them to self-sustain", she stressed.

For the Minister of Finance, the Bolsa Social represents an evolution in the way of understanding the social role of stock exchanges and investments, promoting an alignment between financial capital and social cohesion, to benefit not only issuers and investors, but society as a whole.

Currently, part of the Bolsa Social project portfolio is the "SEIVA" family farming project, which supports the community of the commune of Dombe Grande, municipality of Baía Farta, province of Benguela, through the teaching of new planting techniques, creation of seed distribution and concession lines, to guarantee the livelihood of families and the development of the commune.
