Angolan fighter wins silver medal in world wrestling

Inelton Bombo, an Angolan grappling-style fighter weighing 84 kilograms, took second place in the fighting world, which took place in Pontevedra, Spain.

According to Angop, the Angolan won three disputes with opponents from the United States of America, Romania and France, having thus stamped his name in the championship final.

In the final race, Inelton Bombo ended up not being able to beat the Spaniard Arturo Salas Espies, thus guaranteeing the silver medal.

According to Angop, in addition to Inelton Bombo, athletes Jonas Malungo (Greco-Roman style, 82 kilograms), Welvina Vemba (57 kilograms), Tadeu Francisco, (wrestling style, 57 kilograms), Delfina dos Santos (64 kilograms) and Kieto Pacheco (grappling style, 84 kilograms) also represented Angola's colors in the competition, which took place between 12 and 23 October.

Overall, the country qualified in 13th place, out of a total of 23 countries, after being in the 23rd position in the inauguration in world championships, in 2018, in Budapest, Hungary, writes Angop.
