Angola will spend more than 93 million for the purchase of Turkish drones

More than 93 million dollars is how much the government will spend with the purchase of Turkish drones. The expenditure, in the amount of 93.1 million dollars, was authorized by the President of the Republic, João Lourenço, in a presidential order.

In addition to authorizing the expense for the purchase of Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Systems (drones), the "opening of the simplified contracting procedure, by material criterion, for the conclusion of the supply contract" of drones, services and logistical support is also formalized. integrated between Simportex and Turkish Aerospace.

Pursuant to presidential order 243/22, "powers were also delegated to the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Simportex - EP, with the power to sub-delegate, for the practice of decision-making acts and supervisory approval, including the preparation of procedural documents, and signature of said contract".

The various projects "of great impact, with a view to substantially and concretely improving the social and economic conditions of the populations in general" are the basis for this measure, according to the order, quoted by Novo Jornal.

The same newspaper also mentions that it will be up to the Ministry of Finance to guarantee the necessary financial means to carry out the project.
