João Lourenço decided to appoint Jomo Fortunato to replace Adjany Costa. "The President of the Republic, João Manuel Gonçalves Lourenço, appointed today Jomo Francisco Isabel de Carvalho Fortunato, to the position of Minister of Culture, Tourism and Environment", can be read in a Facebook publication of the presidency.
The former minister was, however, appointed as a consultant to the President of the Republic, the note states.
Adjany Costa was appointed Minister of Culture in April of this year, having collected the title of the youngest minister in the history of the country.
