Prices vary depending on the type of test. According to Novo Jornal, the cheapest tests are the fast serological ones that will cost six thousand kwanzas. The Elisa serological test will cost 20 thousand kwanzas and the RT-PCR test will cost 75 thousand kwanzas.
These prices are only valid for people who are not in institutional quarantine or home isolation determined by health authorities. People who are part of the screening defined by the authorities are also exempt from payment.
This charge is valid for private laboratories authorized by the Ministry of Health that request or send tests to covid-19 for institutions of the National Health System.
According to the same newspaper, reimbursements are made according to the presentation of a guide issued by the medical-sanitary institutions, and payment for the test is the responsibility of the applicant.
Besides the public sector, the Girassol, Sagrada Esperança, Multiperfil and Luanda Medical Center clinics are authorized to perform the RT-PCR test (the test required for those going abroad).
As for domestic flights, passengers can use the following laboratories: Girassol, Sagrada Esperança, Multiperfil, Luanda Medical Center, Mediag, Centralab, Cligest and Cidil.
For travel within the country, the authorities recommend that the serological test be performed.
