Franco Mufinda commented on the behavior of the population that, in recent days, has disrespected the biosecurity measures decreed by the government in the fight and prevention of the pandemic of the new coronavirus, as it happened last weekend, with floods on the beaches in Luanda.

"This attitude, the behavior that the population will have, will only expose us more," said Franco Mufinda in statements issued by Radio Luanda, adding that there will be more cases and more deaths.

According to the governor, the statistics register daily deaths, "of people who arrive late" to hospitals.

"We begin to have even deaths in the community, people who arrive at the health units without life and when the post-mortem test of SARS-COV 2 is done, we have evidence that it is covid, so [they are] people [who] begin to die at home," he said.

The ruler stressed that these are indicators that the population should be cared for.

"When you thought it was a mirage, it's not, today we are facing a fact that is taking lives," he said, pointing out that the transmission of covid-19 occurs mainly when there are "population gatherings.

Angola has accounted for a total of 7829 cases of the new coronavirus up to the last 24 hours, of which 248 have died, 3031 have recovered and 4550 are active, of which eight are in critical condition and 20 are severe.
