Fazenda Mumba will open tourist accommodation later this year and will be the setting for filming of TVI's new soap opera

The landscapes of Fazenda Mumba will be part of the new soap opera on Portuguese broadcaster TVI. Located in the province of Huíla, the aforementioned farm will house the recordings of the new soap opera, named with the provisional title “Huíla”. However, the news doesn't stop there: in addition to the recordings, the farm also invested in a tourist venture, Mumba Lodge, which plans to open later this year.

According to a statement sent to VerAngola, Mumba Lodge is scheduled to open at the end of this year and will have 23 suites.

"Mumba Lodge will be a place of sophistication, harmoniously integrated into the farm's natural landscape. With 23 exclusive suites, the lodge was built in an old tobacco dryer from the first half of the 20th century, preserving the original structure and materials", the statement reads.

This preservation, says the document, "made it possible to transform the old drying rooms into rooms, maintaining the trees and vegetation that grew inside the structure over more than 50 years without activity".

This new farm project aims to provide guests with "a unique experience of contact with nature and wildlife". In this way, anyone who passes by will be able to enjoy "boat trips on the Cubango River, horseback riding, safaris in the property's wild area to observe the animal fauna, among others".

In addition, it will also offer "a set of recreational activities", always with the "aim of promoting connection with the natural environment".

But the news doesn't stop there, as this farm will host the recordings of TVI's new soap opera. "Fazenda Mumba, located on the banks of the Cuvango River, was chosen as one of the main settings for the recording of the new Portuguese television soap opera, TVI, which is scheduled to premiere in November this year", the statement reads.

The aforementioned soap opera, provisionally titled "Huíla", will take place between Angola and Portugal, and will "promote Angolan landscapes and culture, showcasing, in particular, the tourism potential of the province of Huíla".

Regarding this new initiative, the Omatapalo Group's board advisor, Edmar Manuel, said that they felt "rejoiced".

"We feel happy because, with this initiative, Fazenda Mumba not only stands out as a privileged setting for TVI's new soap opera, but also reinforces its commitment to contributing to the development of tourism in Angola, offering visitors a combination of History, culture and nature", highlighted Edmar Manuel.

The farm, according to the statement, is "focused on agribusiness, carrying out its activity on around 90 thousand hectares, of which 20 thousand are in full use in the production of beef, cereals, legumes and fruits."
