It was through a press release, to which VerAngola had access, that FAMMA announced the Angolan's participation in Warriors 53 – Arabia vs Africa, which is scheduled for September 27th.
"Demarte Pena, recognized for his talent and trajectory in mixed martial arts, will face the Brazilian Marcel Adur", the note reads.
With a history of achievements in the sport, the Angolan "promises to elevate the name of Angola", points out the federation, which also informs that the tournament will feature the presence of "renowned athletes from more than 10 African countries, including Egypt, South Africa, Zimbabwe and Cameroon".
The boxer said it was a "great honor" to fight in this event representing Angola.
"It is a great honour to fight in this competition representing my country. This will be my 19th professional fight. Despite it being an Arab competition, I will give my best, put pressure on my opponent and finish the fight. I am confident and I am counting on your support to win", said Demarte Pena, in statements to Jornal de Angola.
It is worth remembering that, among the Angolan's most recent achievements, in February last year, Demarte Pena was crowned world champion of the 12th edition of the ARES Fighting Championship.
