According to the ANPG's monthly report, total production for the month was 30 million barrels, 7.9 percent below forecast, with an operational efficiency of 86.6 percent.
The agency also highlighted the production of associated gas, much of which was reinjected into reservoirs or used to generate energy and supply the liquefied natural gas (ALNG) plant.
This plant produced 3.8 million barrels of oil equivalent, but recorded a reduction of about 10 percent compared to the target, due to repairs and a breakdown.
The barrel of oil equivalent is a standardized measurement that combines different energy sources, for example, oil and gas energy equivalents.
Total oil withdrawals in April amounted to 31 million barrels, of which 29 million were exported and about 1.8 million were delivered to the Luanda refinery.
During the month, 14 drilling units were in operation, with work carried out on 28 wells.
