Victor Fernandes considered that the answer to reduce the levels of clothing imports is to stimulate the textile industry sector.
Cited by Angop, the holder of the portfolio of Industry and Trade admitted that the new managers of the three factories privatized by the State should, besides stimulating the creation of jobs, also assume the commitment to encourage the production of raw material.
According to Angop, the management of the textile factories should also ensure the confection of clothes with quality fabrics.
The minister recalled that per year, the country spends about 300 million dollars with the import of used and new clothes.
