Access Bank launches paid internship program for recent graduates

Access Bank Angola has launched a paid internship program to train young Angolan graduates “with high potential to assume leadership positions in the future.”

:

In a statement sent to VerAngola, Access Bank Angola says this is the launch of the new edition of its Recent Graduate Program, "a strategic initiative that aims to identify, train, and empower young Angolan talent with high potential to assume future leadership positions."

This program, the statement says, "offers participants a unique and transformative experience, with international training, multicultural exposure, and specialized English-language support."

The internship lasts six months, three dedicated to practical training and the other three to theoretical training.

"The program includes three months of practical (on-the-job) training at Access Bank's headquarters in Lagos, Nigeria, complemented by intensive technical and behavioral training at the Banking School of Excellence, the Access Bank Group's Institute of Excellence, for three months," the bank explains.

"During the six-month international training period, all costs for airfare, accommodation, and meals are fully covered by the bank," the statement says.

With applications open until August 17th, "young Angolans who completed their undergraduate degree between 2023 and 2025, with ambition for professional growth, a desire to learn, and an interest in joining a growing financial institution" can apply.

A bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Finance, Management, Law, Economics, Business Administration, or Marketing; Angolan nationality; and age up to 26 years are mandatory requirements for application. The required documentation includes a valid passport, a criminal record check, a certificate or proof of completion of higher education and an updated resume.

According to Ricardo Ferreira, Chairman of the Executive Committee of Access Bank Angola, "the future of the financial sector depends on preparing tomorrow's leaders."

"At Access Bank Angola, we believe that the future of the financial sector depends on preparing tomorrow's leaders. This is another program that joins other initiatives we have been implementing, such as the provision of LinkedIn Learning platforms and beneficial academic partnerships, such as the one we recently established with Lusíada University of Angola, through which more than 15 recent graduates were integrated as paid interns," he said.

"These young people continue to benefit from a path of continuous training, whether through the aforementioned platforms or through induction programs aligned with our corporate philosophy and culture. We consistently invest in skills development and creating concrete opportunities for our future African leaders. We consider education a passport to professional life," he added.

"Interested candidates are advised that eligibility criteria, required documentation, and other program details should be consulted on the official Access Bank Angola website: https://angola.accessbankplc.com," the statement further stated.
