Russia donates ambulances to Angola. Fifty new vehicles reinforce INEMA services

A total of 50 new ambulances will reinforce the services of the Angolan National Institute of Medical Emergencies (INEMA). The new vehicles were donated by Russia, with the handover of the keys being made by the Russian ambassador to Angola, Vladimir Tararov.

According to a statement from the Ministry of Health, which VerAngola had access to, the vehicles will assist in pre-hospital care.

"The services of the National Institute of Medical Emergencies of Angola (INEMA) have been reinforced with 50 new ambulances to provide pre-hospital care with advanced life support", the statement reads.

The ambulances were delivered last Saturday, and these new vehicles are part of a donation from the Russian government to Angola.

In statements made at the time, Sílvia Lutucuta, Minister of Health, stated that the governments of the two countries "have been developing cooperation actions in the area of ​​health with some regularity".

According to the minister, the government "intends to continue counting on support from Russia in the preparation and implementation of joint projects that will directly impact the development of the health sector", the statement reads.

The keys to the new ambulances were handed over by Vladimir Tararov, Russian ambassador to Angola.

The director of the European Directorate of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Maria de Carvalho, national directors of the Ministry of Health and provincial directors were also present at the ambulance delivery ceremony.
