Minister of State in Cuanza Sul to inaugurate Social Action Center

The municipality of Condé, in the province of Cuanza-Sul, will have an Integrated Social Action Center (CASI) as of this Wednesday, to assist and monitor families and individuals in vulnerable situations.

:

The center will be inaugurated by the Minister of State for Social Affairs, Maria do Rosário Bragança, as part of her two-day visit (July 9th and 10th) to the province of Cuanza-Sul to strengthen the Kwenda Program. This program is presented as a strategic initiative of the Executive Branch to combat poverty and increase the economic and social resilience of communities.

According to a government statement obtained by VerAngola, the minister's working visit also includes a meeting with beneficiaries of the program, as well as a presentation on its implementation in Cuanza-Sul.

Maria do Rosário Bragança will also visit the CASI in the municipality of Ebo, as part of the municipalization of social action.

On her last day of work, the Minister of State will chair the orientation and review meeting of the mission to Cuanza-Sul province.

The visit aims to monitor Kwenda's progress on the ground, "to identify challenges and reinforce necessary actions so that the program continues to be an effective foundation for building a more just and equitable future for all Angolans," the Executive said.

The province of Kwanza-Sul has more than 2,500 people registered in this program, who receive direct support from the government through social monetary transfers.
