"In the short term, we are now waiting for the ambulances to come to the Ministry of Health, this will be part of the offer, 50 vehicles (...)", said the diplomat, in statements to the press, cited by Televisão Pública de Angola (TPA).

Among other aspects, he considered that this is "a big step towards ensuring the health of people here in Angola".

Regarding the audience with the President of the Republic, the Russian diplomat said that it served to discuss "issues linked" to cooperation between the two countries, as well as to invite João Lourenço to visit his country in May of next year, as part of the celebrations of Russia's victory in World War II.

"I even delivered an invitation from the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, to the President of the Republic of Angola, João Lourenço, to visit Russia on May 9, 2025, when we will celebrate a big Victory Day celebration on Monday patriotic war", pointed out the ambassador.

According to Vladimir Tararov, João Lourenço accepted Vladimir Putin's invitation to participate, in Moscow, on May 9, 2025, in the "celebrations of the victory over fascism", in World War II.

"This is of great importance for us, because we invite our closest friends so that they can share with us the joy of victory against fascism, this is of great importance for the whole world, because this victory resulted in decolonization, the national liberation of several countries, not only from Africa, but also from Asia, and we have many things to discuss and share among ourselves", he said.

The Russian ambassador highlighted that President João Lourenço accepted the invitation "with pleasure", which, he said, reflects the level of relations between the two countries.

For the month of November this year, a summit of African foreign ministers with Russia is scheduled to be held in Sochi, to address issues of world peace and security, in which the head of national diplomacy, Téte Antonio, is expected to participate.

The Russian diplomat also expressed the interest of his country's business class in investing in Angola's economic progress, including the production of agricultural products, such as bananas and coffee, taking advantage of the fertility of Angola's soils.

Quoted by Angop, he added that businessmen from Russia are in negotiations to obtain land for coffee cultivation in Angolan territory and guarantee direct supply for their chocolate production companies.

Among other aspects, the ambassador also left guarantees that the company Alrosa continues to operate without limitations, contributing to the economic development of Angola, adding that bilateral trade is not "very large", but its relaunch could happen with future meetings of the Angola/Russia Mixed Commission.
