According to a statement, cited by Angop, the increase is due to the acquisition of new customers, as well as the increase in the number of flights made per week by existing customers.

Although there is a delay of around 19 percent in the accumulated volume for the year compared to the same period last year, Pumangol intends to recover and expand its customer base, the statement said.

In addition, there was also a considerable increase in the sale of fuels at retail, registering a total of 182,802 metric tons. This corresponds to growth of around 7.3 percent compared to the same period in 2023.

According to the statement, cited by Angop, this result was boosted by the sale of diesel, whose sales reached 98,645 metric tons (an increase of 12.8 percent compared to the second quarter of last year), while the sale of gasoline also increased, reaching 84,157 metric tons (an increase of 1.5 percent).

The increases do not stop there, with Pumangol seeing sales of bulk fuels increase, totaling 139,227 metric tons, representing growth of 14 percent compared to the same period in 2023.

Overall, in the second quarter of this year, the company saw an increase of around nine percent in global sales, with a strong performance in Business to Business (B2B) and Business to Consumer (B2C).

It should be noted that the company has more than 500 direct employees and approximately 1900 indirect employees.
