According to a note from the Municipal Administration of Cazenga, to which VerAngola had access, the inauguration ceremony took place on Saturday (13 April) and was presided over by the president of the Board of Directors of Pumangol, Ivanilson Machado, as well as the secretary present of State for Petroleum, José Barroso, and the executive director of Sonangol, Osvaldo Inácio.
In addition to having eight supply lines, the station also includes a convenience store and an ATM.
On the occasion, the municipal administrator of Cazenga, Nádia Evelise Martins de Sousa Neto - who was accompanied by the administrator of the Urban District of Tala-Hady, Beatriz Correia Victor - "praised Pumangol's initiative due to the fact that the venture generates development and, above all, jobs for local young people", the statement reads.
In turn, Ivanilson Machado said that the intentions for this year include opening at least one more position. "This year we still intend to open at least one more, so, yes, we are following the guidelines of what was requested by the responsible Ministry, by the IRDP and also by our shareholder, which is to increase this range of fuel distribution offerings for the population Angola", he said, quoted by Televisão Pública de Angola (TPA).
The Secretary of State for Petroleum said there is a need to provide a "quality service" and the "addition of another station" will help improve the fuel distribution and sales process: "It is necessary to provide a service of quality and the addition of another station will definitely help us improve the entire fuel distribution and marketing process in this area of Luanda", he pointed out.
According to the TPA, this station number 82 on the Pumangol network has solar panels, with half of the energy consumed there being renewable.
