"To say that we still have 18 schools that some of them may start operating during the school year, since they already have a physical execution between 80 and 90 percent", he said, speaking to the Public Television of Angola (TPA).

Regarding the private sphere, the official made it known that there are currently around 3000 schools: "The existing schools in private education, at the moment, are around 3000 schools".

She also mentioned the creation of conditions for it to be possible to open, this year, the institute in Zango 8000.

"We are currently creating conditions, we have the structure, so that this year we can open the institute in Zango 8000. It will be a medium institute of administration and management and once the conditions have been created, we are going to open it, since the demand for students in technical education is very high," she said, quoted by TPA.

Preparations for the new academic year, whose official opening will take place next Friday, are underway. One of them is the teacher training seminar, which, according to the TPA, invaded the capital's educational establishments.

One of these establishments in preparation is that of the first May 1st cycle. The school director, Antónia Falcão, informed that the new enrollments have already been carried out and that there is a lack of desks.

"We have already made the new enrollments, we received only 200 students within the vacancies we had. In terms of student accommodation, we do not have enough desks, but we have desks, we expect that at any moment we can receive more", she said, in statements to TPA.

The Polytechnic Industrial Institute of Luanda, which enrolls 5,500 students, has an insufficient number of professors. "As for the number of teachers, we still don't have a complete number, but we are receiving some teachers, which we requested. We need a total of 300 teachers", said Milton Santos, director of the institute, quoted by TPA.
