According to a statement from the Press Center of the Presidency of the Republic of Angola (CIPRA), to which VerAngola had access, Sheikh Mohammed Bin Maktoum Bin Al Maktoum said that he "hopes to develop projects" in the fields of agriculture and health, with a view to contribute to the development of Angola.
"We hope to be able to count on some opportunities that this country offers in these areas and we look forward, as I said, to develop projects in these sectors of agriculture and health, in such a way that we can advance towards the development of this country", said the official, who held a meeting with President João Lourenço, this Tuesday, at the Presidential Palace.
Regarding the amount to be invested in Angolan soil, the official did not advance any figures, explaining that "the specific value of the investment is still being evaluated, but it may be known soon".
The statement also mentions that the president of the business group, "belonging to the Royal Family of the United Arab Emirates, expressed his satisfaction with the availability of the President of the Republic and the way in which he was welcomed".
Sheik Mohammed Bin Maktoum Bin Al Maktoum's trip to Angola is the result of his visit to the Angola pavilion at Expo Dubai, at the invitation of the company Boavida.
"This company alone opened our eyes and in this way we were able to see the business opportunities and projects that exist in Angola. And, as I said today, we are carrying out the planning work that will take this project forward", he said, quoted in the note.
