Speaking during a visit by the President of the Republic on Saturday to the future premises of the CNE, the official said that the infrastructure would consist of a data center, an amphitheatre and offices for the president and commissioners of the CNE.
The project, which is being built in the space of the old soda factory, near the Coqueiros Stadium, will also be equipped with rooms for plenary, meetings and audiences, writes Angop.
It will also have a parking lot with capacity for 108 cars.
Cited by Angop, Leonel Cruz said that when the undertaking is finished, CNE should generate more than 200 jobs.
Currently, CNE is operating in an infrastructure located at Revolução de Outubro street, in Luanda, carrying out the verification of the elections in a rented building.
Manuel Pereira da Silva, president of CNE, said that the new facilities will be able to house all the commission's services.
The official, cited by Angop, considered that this investment "legitimizes the political power in Angola".
