Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries delegation heads to Dubai to seek investment for the sector

This Tuesday, a delegation from the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries travels to Dubai, in the United Arab Emirates, in order to attract investment to the sector.

The trip to Dubai comes after the same delegation, led by the Secretary of State for Agriculture and Livestock, went to Turkey with the same objective.

The Angolans' trip to Dubai aims to attract investors so that it is possible to make the agriculture sector sustainable.

According to a statement, to which Angop had access, in the Turkish capital, the delegation had contacts with the local business community, having been expressed interest in investment by Turkey in Angola.

According to the statement, the trip to Turkey resulted from the expectations created by João Lourenço's visit to that country in July.

"On the Turkish side particular interest was expressed in the concession of extensive areas for production of crops indicated by Angola and vital for the development of agri-livestock and related processing industry," indicates the note, cited by Angop.
