Since the beginning of the covid-19 pandemic in the country, ISPTEC is producing ethyl alcohol in its chemical laboratories. The product is being manufactured according to the standards established by the World Health Organization (WHO).

During the delivery of the bottles, which took place this Monday, Marcílio Santos, general director of ISPTEC, explained that both teachers and students who want to help the country fight covid-19 are involved in the production of the alcohol. According to a GPL Facebook publication, the general director of ISPTECA explained that this "action was motivated by the feeling of patriotism".

Already Joana Lina, provincial governor of Luanda, welcomed the initiative and thanked the offer. This initiative "is the result of the engagement of young academics who are not indifferent to this situation of the pandemic," she considered.

The institute's initiative has the support of Sonangol, Nuvibrands and Basel Angola.
