According to a note from the Presidency of the Republic, to which VerAngola had access, the ambassador informed, in statements to the press at the end of the meeting, that "the conversation revolved, specifically, around cooperation in terms of infrastructure, agriculture and industry".

On the occasion, the Chinese ambassador said that Angola's debt to his country is part of the economic and commercial relations between the two countries, dispelling the idea that there are problems in this regard.

"Therefore, there is no debt problem between our countries. China is willing to grant more financing to the Angolan side, with a view to implementing important projects," he said.

Zhang Bin also said that both governments agree to intensify cooperation in all areas, especially in the economic and trade domain.

Thus, he added that Angola-China cooperation is mainly focused on the construction of infrastructures, as well as in the agricultural, industrial and mineral domains: "Our cooperation has the main focus on the construction of infrastructures and also on investments in the agricultural sectors, industrial and minerals".

According to the diplomat, his country already has several investment projects in agriculture and industry, and wants to continue promoting them.

It is recalled that, in March of this year, the President of the Republic paid a visit to China, having, at the time, stated that he had managed to renegotiate the terms of the debt to China.
