FIBA, in a publication on its official website, highlights that 'Kikas' made a total of 143 rebounds, played 30 games and participated in five editions (1998, 2002, 2006, 2010 and 2014).
Furthermore, the federation highlighted the Angolan's performance in the 2006 World Cup. "His best performance in the World Cup was in 2006, when he had 10 or more rebounds three times in big games", reads the publication.
The Angolan's performance in the game against Germany was also highlighted: "In a famous game against Germany (...), Gomes scored 21 points".
