The information was released by Bodiva, as part of the July 31 release of its financial statements (FS) for the second quarter of this year.

In a statement sent to VerAngola, Bodiva reported that, in the period in question, "a turnover of 1.19 billion kwanzas was recorded, corresponding to more than 51.4 percent of that recorded in the same period of 2024, maintaining the upward trend of recent years, and a total cost of 1.127 million kwanzas, a 17 percent increase compared to the second quarter of 2024."

"Regarding operating costs, the FS also show an increase in personnel costs of approximately 17.1 percent and in other operating costs of approximately 35.1 percent, totaling 727 million kwanzas and 359 million kwanzas, respectively," the statement reads.

According to the stock exchange, the increase in personnel costs was primarily due to the "15 percent adjustment in the compensation of corporate bodies approved at the General Shareholders' Meeting held on March 31, 2025, and the increase in costs for performance bonuses for staff, totaling remuneration for the quarter of 271 million kwanzas for corporate bodies and 314 million kwanzas for staff."

Bodiva also states that its corporate bodies are composed of the Board of Directors, the Supervisory Board, and the General Meeting Board, and the "staff costs for corporate bodies per month average approximately 72 million kwanzas, including the salaries of executive members and the remuneration of other members, in accordance with the corporate body remuneration policy also approved at the General Shareholders' Meeting."

The recently presented results are "undergoing auditing by an independent auditor, and the final report for the semester will be published by August 31, 2025, as per regulations, and provisional data points to a semester result of 965 million kwanzas," the note reads.
