Xyami Nova Vida, Xyami Kilamba, and the O Cantinho do Desportista Restaurant are the locations where fans can purchase tickets in Luanda.
In Namibe, specifically in Moçâmedes, the ticket sales points will be at the Chic Chic Hotel and 2M Produções.
According to the National Radio of Angola (RNA), starting next Monday, the day before the competition begins, ticket sales will be extended to match venues. Therefore, starting on the 11th of this month, fans will be able to purchase tickets at the Kilamba Arena (Luanda) and Welwitschia Mirabilis (Moçâmedes) pavilions.
Regarding ticket prices, fans will have to pay between 500 and 5000 kwanzas to attend the group stage.
The lowest price is 500 kwanzas, which grants access to the second tier of the general grandstand, while tickets for the first tier of the general grandstand cost 1000 kwanzas and the VIP grandstand cost 5000 kwanzas, according to RNA.
Afrobasket 2025 begins on August 12th, with the opening ceremony taking place at the Kilamba Arena.
On that day, host Angola will make its competition debut against Libya.
In preparation for the tournament, the senior men's national basketball team held a training camp in Spain. The team, coached by Josep Clarós, won three of the five friendlies held during this training camp.
During this training camp in Madrid, the team lost two matches to Argentina (87-83 and 73-79). The victories came against Chile (94-83) and a combined team from the Spanish Basketball League (80-65 and 106-84).
After this training camp, the team returned to the country this Tuesday. "After weeks of hard work during the training camp, our athletes are back for the final stretch toward Afrobasket 2025," the Angolan Basketball Federation reported in a statement that VerAngola had access to.
The players selected for the continental competition have also been announced. According to Angop, the coach called up the athletes Gerson Gonçalves, Childe Dundão, Milton Valente, Jilson Bango, Aboubacar Gakou, João Fernandes, Eduardo Francisco, Germane Obama, Bruno Fernando, Kevin Kokila, Macachi Braz, Sílvio Sousa, and Selton Miguel.
Angola is in Group C, along with South Sudan, Guinea, and Libya.
The competition's schedule foresees that the group stage will take place between August 12 and 17, while the 'quarter-finals' will be played from August 18 to 21. The semi-finals and final will take place on August 23 and 24, respectively.
