The head of state was vaccinated in Luanda, having received the Russian Sputnik V vaccine.
João Lourenço received the first dose on May 13th of this year, at Complexo Turístico Paz Flor, in Morro Bento, urban district of Samba.
According to Angop, besides the President, the first lady and the vice-president were also vaccinated this Tuesday.
The vaccination process against covid-19 started in March. The country aims to vaccinate about 54 percent of the population, corresponding to 16,823,284 people over 16 years.
