Fernando Francisco João, Secretary of State for Youth, explained, quoted by Angop, that after the young people receive their training they will be distributed in brigades by the country's municipalities. The aim is to combat misinformation, making people aware of the risks of covid-19 and know how to protect themselves.
The official, who was speaking on the sidelines of the launch of the public awareness campaign in the municipality of Cazenga, in Luanda, revealed that 80 young people from the Angolan Youth Institute have already received training.
In the coming days, the training will reach young people from Uige, Malanje, Kwanza Norte, Huila, Lunda Sul and Cabinda.
The training will take place in one week, he said, adding that the Ministry of Health has demonstrated its support through the delivery of biosecurity equipment and monitoring of the evolution of the campaign.
As for the duration of this initiative, Fernando Francisco João, stressed that it will last as long as necessary to help the country fight the spread of the new coronavirus.
