Composed of six young university students – most of whom belong to the field of engineering and who participated in the innovation marathon that was part of the Angotic 2023 agenda –, Osapicare received, this Wednesday, the award from the Minister of State for the Economic Coordination, José de Lima Massano.

In the competition, Serviçal and AgroEIA also stood out. According to Angop, Serviçal won second place by presenting an application aimed at helping internet users in the employability programme, having received the award from the Minister of Telecommunications, Information Technologies and Social Communication.

AgroEIA, dedicated to agribusiness, won the third prize, which was handed over by the Minister of Economy, Mário Caetano João.

Carlos Jaime, director general of Buka (the company that promoted the event), speaking to Angop, said that 30 participants were chosen, with plans to continue the initiative in the next technological events.

Nuno Viegas, director general of Ekwanza (company that finances the programme) considered that the participants imagined real problems, oriented towards medical diagnoses, agribusiness, as well as reducing needs and times, leaving an appeal to the managers who were present at the event to finance the initiatives, writes Angop.

The exhibitors of this edition of Angotic 2023, which started last Monday at the Talatona Convention Center and closes this Wednesday, were satisfied with the event.

One of the exhibitors showing satisfaction was Sistec, which made a positive assessment of the event in terms of visits and products on display. Adão António, representative of the telecommunications department, quoted by Angop, made it known that Sistec had a lot of demand during the event, which, he added, made it possible to reinforce partnerships with companies from the country and abroad, as well as some emerging players in the country.

In turn, Crisóstomo Mbundu, product manager at Angola Cables, highlighted the fact that they were able to establish partnerships in order to boost the digital system and, therefore, the startups. "We show here the ability of young people to solve problems, showing their innovations", he added, quoted by Angop.

Satisfaction was also expressed by Leopoldo Calenga, responsible for the commercial area of the startup Aki. According to Angop, the official made a positive assessment of the event, as it brought together a large number of startups with innovations and ideas to share.

In addition, he also considered that this edition allowed to expose the capacity of young nationals with regard to technological innovations, and also served as a window for new contacts and initials of agreements with some companies, writes Angop.

The Minister of Telecommunications, Information Technologies and Social Communication, Mário de Oliveira, speaking at the closing act, said that he hopes that the event will place "another stone in the socio-economic development" of the country.

"We thank everyone who contributed to the organization of the forum. We hope, with it, to place another stone in the socio-economic development of our country, for the well-being of our people", he indicated.

It should be noted that Angotic 2023 had "Connectivity and Technological Modernization" as its motto and had more than eight thousand participants.
