The new boats have been in operation since last Saturday. According to a note from the company, to which VerAngola had access, it was on the 18th of this month that Secil Marítima inaugurated the new electro solar boats, at the Kapossoca dock, in a ceremony attended by the Secretary of State for Civil Aviation Sectors, Maritime and Port, Rui Carreia, and the president of the Board of Directors of Secil Marítima, João Martins, among others.
"The new Sun Concept Evo 7.0 boats, with capacity for up to 15 passengers, offer safety, silent navigation and no emission of polluting gases, contributing to environmental sustainability", reads the company's note, which adds that this investment will in line with its mission to "accompany the energy transition and reduce greenhouse gas emissions".
The new 'environmentally friendly' boats were produced in Portugal, the company also states, which reiterates that they "offer silent navigation, without the production of CO2, without the consumption of fossil fuels and without spilling oil into the ocean".
"In addition, they provide comfort and safety for crossings and sea trips along the Mussulo shore, being a more suitable option compared to the means normally used for this process", says the company.
