To this end, it is this Tuesday that Petro – who finished training in the country this Monday – will travel to Kigali, Rwanda, writes Angop.

Petro de Luanda reached this stage after taking second place in the Kalahari Conference, which took place in March in Pretoria (South Africa), while the Tunisians from Monastir came in third place in the Sahara Conference, which took place in Dakar (Senegal).

According to Angop, the Angolan team has some debuts in the competition. This is the case of coach Sérgio Valdeomillos and North American winger Nicolas Faust, a recent signing.

It should be noted that in next Saturday's game the two teams will repeat the final of the 2022 competition. However, it is expected that the outcome will be more favorable for Petro, which in the 2022 game lost 83-72.

For this year's BAL 'quarters' game, Petro will take the players Gerson Domingos, Childe Dundão, Carlos Morais, Nicholas Faust, Gerson Gonçalves "Lukeny", Glofate Buiamba, Eduardo Simão, Aboubakar Gakou, Markieth Cummings, Cleusio Castro, Jone Pedro and Yanick Moreira, writes Angop.

The matches begin this Friday, with two games, namely Al Ahly Bengazi will face CapeTown Tigers at 5pm and Al Alhy will face Fus Rabat at 8pm. The next day it is Petro's turn to play against US Monastir at 2:30 pm, with the game between Rivers Hoopers and As Douanes also scheduled for that day at 5:30 pm.
