BAL: Petro is looking for revenge against Moroccans Fus Rabat

This Thursday, Petro de Luanda has a new match scheduled for the group stage of the African Basketball League (BAL). The opponent repeats: Fus Rabat, from Morocco. Despite the Moroccans having the better of the first round, with an 82-73 victory, Petro promises revenge, saying they are prepared to win and fight for first place in Group A of the competition.

:

The clash is scheduled for 6pm (Luanda time), and will be broadcast on BAL's YouTube, according to Petro de Luanda's Facebook page.

The "Tricolores" are thus looking for their second victory in the league's Kalahari conference, after having beaten Dynamo de Burundi on Tuesday - due to lack of competence -, automatically removed from the competition by the organization, which alleged non-compliance with rules by the team. .

Therefore, Petro is in second place in Group A, with five points, in direct pursuit of leader Fus Rabat, who has six. Behind would be Dynamo, now removed, which will allow the Cape Town Tigers, from South Africa, to rise to third place, who only have three points, resulting from three defeats.

On the Angolan side, hopes are pinned on Carlos Morais, who stood out in the previous two games, and also on base player Childe Dundão. On the other hand, stand out fellow baseman Jonatjan Jordan - with an average of 10 points per game - and the support of the team's captain and veteran, Adbelhakim Zouita.

The game between Angolans and Moroccans will take place at the SunBet Arena pavilion, in Pretoria (South Africa).

Remember that the top two teams qualify for the final stage of the competition, so Petro and Fas Rabat are practically qualified, taking into account Dynamo's departure and the Tigers' series of three defeats.
