At the start of the game – counting for the fourth and penultimate "hand" of this stage of the competition, and which took place at the SunBet Arena pavilion, in Pretoria (South Africa) –, Petro opened the scoring by scoring the first two points of the game. However, according to Angop, the Moroccans managed to keep up with the "tricolores" and, in the first quarter of the game, there were moments of draw with the first quarter ending 25-25.

However, in the second quarter of the match, Petro managed to break the tie and, at the time of the half-time whistle, the Angolans led the score with an advantage of 12 points (46-34).

At the end of the third quarter of the game, Petro had a comfortable lead (75-57). However, in the final part, the national champion saw the Moroccans gain ground and reduce the deficit. However, the triumph belonged to Petro, who won the game with a three-point difference.

José Neto, Petro's coach, considered that the team's victory was due to the performance in the first moments of the game. Speaking to Angop, the coach did not give much importance to the mistakes made at the end of the game.

According to José Neto, "the inconsistency in the team happened again because the athletes haven't trained together for some time".

The purpose of the "tricolores" is to win the competition, however, he recognized that there is still a lot to do to achieve this.

According to Angop, the title of top scorer of the match was awarded to Childe Dundão, who scored 25 points, followed by Aboubakar Gakou who scored 21 points.

However, this defeat does not push Fus Rabat to another place in the table. The Moroccans maintain the leadership of the group with seven points, followed by Petro with five, with both already qualified for the next phase of the BAL.

Petro will play again on Saturday, March 16th, this time against hosts Cape Town.
