ZEE PCA elected member of the Executive Council of the World Organization of Free Zones

The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Luanda Bengo Special Economic Zone (ZEE), Manuel Pedro, was elected this Wednesday as a member of the Executive Board of the World Organization of Free Zones (WFZO).

After presenting the ZEE and its role in the process of diversifying the economy, Manuel Pedro, before an audience of more than 400 delegates at the annual conference on Free Zones, which took place in Dubai, managed to win the trust of WFZO members.

The annual conference and exhibition took place under the motto "An ecosystem of trust that drives prosperity", a topic that the PCA of the ZEE considered to be of extreme importance, since the free zones are not closed in on themselves, as it understands, that they must work , also, for the well-being of the communities and countries in which they are located.

In a statement, the Ministry of Economy explained that the event brings together political speakers, industry leaders, investors and experts from around the world to discuss trends, challenges and opportunities in the global industry of free zones.

The role of attracting foreign investment, creating jobs, promoting trade, and supporting economic development were some of the themes addressed in the workshops and discussion panels.

Participants had the opportunity to network with their peers and participate in productive discussions that could help shape the future of the global landscape of free zones, they conclude.
