Dorivaldo Adão was speaking on the sidelines of the opening of Shopping Hoji Ya Henda, which took place last Sunday. Thus, quoted by Angop, he mentioned the 'Pedrinhas' area, having clarified that in the Congolese market there are spaces to accommodate more people, but they persist in selling on the streets.
Regarding cases of houses turned into commercial spaces, he guaranteed that they will put the law into practice, as they were not designed for that purpose.
"The ones in 'Pedrinhas' do not meet the conditions, they do not have a fire-fighting system, because in the event of an incident it could affect the store in front of it and even homes," he said.
He also made it known that they are working to combat disorderly sales in 'Pedrinhas', in Lino Amezaga, as well as in other places in Luanda.
According to Dorivaldo Adão, 'Pedrinhas' concerns an urban area and will change the type of sales that are practiced there.
"Most of the products sold in these places, considered inappropriate, are goods that end up harming your health, due to the way they are preserved, creating great pressure on the health sector, which is why the Government of Luanda is changing this situation", he said, quoted by Angop.
He also said that they have informed economic agents that urban areas are not designed for wholesale operations but rather for retail, so in the near future we could see part of the disordered sales scenario change.
