Huawei Chinese ready to lead digital transformation in the National Assembly

Huawei is interested in establishing a partnership with the National Assembly for the new phase of digital transformation. The expression of interest was expressed by António Hou, chairman of the Board of Directors (PCA) of the Chinese multinational Huawei for the Southern African Region, who visited the National Assembly this Tuesday.

Speaking to the press, Huawei's PCA took the opportunity to thank the invitation made by Carolina Cerqueira, president of the National Assembly, to visit parliament, as well as "expressed interest in establishing a partnership with the National Assembly for this new phase of digital transformation", reads a note from the National Assembly, to which VerAngola had access.

On the occasion, António Hou said that in the last two decades the Chinese multinational has played an active role "in the digital transformation of the Angolan Executive" and that, this year, in addition to working with several "public institutions in the networks sector", they believe that Parliament will also be integrated into this project.

"Huawei over the last 22 years has actively participated in the digital transformation of the Angolan Executive. This year, in addition to working with several public institutions in the Networks sector, we also believe that the National Assembly will be part of this project", said the PCA of company.

The person in charge, according to the statement, "considered the possibility of connecting local support offices to the deputies' provincial constituencies" across the country, to ensure "better communication and streamline tasks."

According to Huawei's PCA, they are currently in an "initial phase of the project", but they already have three fundamental parts: "Right now we are in an initial phase of the project, but we have three fundamental parts that must be considered: the first, basic connectivity, in that we intend to offer connections between the capital and other provinces; the second, a meeting system, to ensure communication between departments, and the third, inclusion among citizens, using artificial intelligence and computing to ensure that the population has access to the National Assembly's public and digital services", said the person in charge
