Chinese Ambassador: Huawei Technology Park “aims to promote the development” of talent in Angola

The Chinese ambassador in Luanda, Gong Tao, said this Monday that the Huawei Technology Park in Luanda, which will train around 10,000 Angolans, “aims to promote the development” of information and communication technology talent in Angola.

The diplomat who spoke after the Chief Executive's visit to the multinational's new facilities, underlined that Huawei attaches great importance to its social responsibilities and the promotion of technological knowledge.

"This investment aims to promote innovative development, digital transformation and growth of Information and Communication Technologies talents in Angola", said the Chinese diplomat, stressing that China and Angola are like "brothers and good friends" who help each other.

He added that the two countries want to accelerate the alignment of development strategies and deepen cooperation in the field of technology, digital economy, and human resource training.

The technology park will ensure the training of more than 10,000 Angolans, as well as teachers of technical and technological courses at Angolan universities, until 2027.

It is recalled that the infrastructure was inaugurated this Monday by the President of the Republic, João Lourenço.
