The information, according to Angop, was expressed last Friday at a meeting that brought together representatives of the technological giant and businesspeople in the country. Having been carried out under the motto "Huawei Angola Smart PV Business Channel Partner Summit", the event, organized by the Chinese technology company, aimed to demonstrate the company's projects to partners.
António Costa, client manager for renewable energy, made it known that the technology company has answers that will help improve the environment and lower energy costs.
Speaking to the press at the end of the event, the official, quoted by Angop, clarified that one of the huge obstacles is to get solar energy to homes in order to reduce their costs, as it is subsidized at 70 percent for the government.
With a greater propagation of the project, he added, within a period of three years it may be possible to reach an acceptable number of people using renewable energies, in a guideline that the company does not intend to commercialize directly to users, but instead makes use of partners, writes to Angop.
The manager also stated that the purpose is to reach up to 800 megawatts in order to alleviate power failures.
"There are Angolans who have been using renewable energy for a long time and this implementation will help to reduce the emission of carbon in the atmosphere, that's why we should start talking more properly to people", he said, quoted by Angop.
Also quoted by Angop, Edric Chu, CEO of Huawei in Angola, noted that carbon neutralization is a popular issue worldwide, emphasizing that it is the objective of the Angolan Executive to use 70 percent of renewable energy by 2025 and recalling that since last year, several solar projects have been launched in the country.
