Namibe hosts central act of the Day of Peace and National Reconciliation

Namibe was the province chosen to host the main act of the Day of Peace and National Reconciliation, which will have as its motto “21 Years of Peace – Building a Better Angola”.

Taking place this Tuesday, the act will be presided over by the Minister of State for the Social Area, Dalva Ringote Alen, according to the Ministry of Territory Administration, in a statement to which VerAngola had access.

"The province of Namibe hosts this Tuesday, April 4, the central act of the Day of Peace and National Reconciliation chaired by the Minister of State for Social Affairs, Dalva Ringote Alen", reads the note.

The act, advances the guardianship, will take place in the Marginal of the municipality of Moçâmedes.

"The 21 years of peace and national reconciliation will be marked by various activities of a political and social nature throughout the country and in Angola's diplomatic missions abroad", the statement also refers.

The programme, according to the director of Namibe's provincial media office, José Mário, has reserved the inauguration of some social facilities, as well as the planting of trees, among others: "What does the program reserve for us? inauguration of some social equipment, especially those that benefit the education and health sector, we will have the planting of trees and, according to the program, we are also planning a trip to the Bentiaba commune for a visit, let's say, historic also to some sites that served as São Nicolau's prison at that time," he said, quoted by Rádio Nacional de Angola (RNA).
