The Government has been developing some policies to boost the Okavango region, aiming to attract the attention of investors, both national and foreign. Among what is being done, according to Rui Lisboa, chairman of the Board of Directors (PCA) of the National Agency for the Management of the Okavango Region, the creation of a multisectoral commission to "facilitate the implementation of private investments in the region ".

:

According to the PCA of the National Agency for the Management of the Okavango Region, "the Angolan Government has great interest in protecting the faunal resources of the Angolan Okavango region and in the development of ecotourism, which necessarily involves the promotion of private investment".

Speaking to Rádio Nacional de Angola (RNA), the official explained that, in this sense, a multisectoral commission was created "for the analysis and inventory of faunal and land resources in the region".

Rui Lisboa indicated, quoted by RNA, that among the main goals of the commission is the facilitation of the realization of private investments: "One of the main objectives of this commission is to facilitate the implementation of private investments in the region".

To this end, he added, "the commission will work on identifying favorable areas for the implementation of private projects both in the field of ecotourism and in the implementation of livestock farms for wildlife".
