First lady initiative that created a platform for dialogue between ‘kotas’ and young people ready to move forward

About four months after the implementation phase, the Dikota E-6.0 Platform, an initiative of the first lady, Ana Dias Lourenço, starts from now on to consolidate steps for the approximation and exchange of experience between generational groups: the older ones and young people.

:

Officially presented in December, the platform is ready to develop several actions around the promotion of knowledge and knowledge of people over 60 years old - from a personal and professional point of view - in the midst of youth, through dialogue between generations.

Edson Barreto, director of the Office of Cadres of the President of the Republic, explained that this tool will contribute so that society is "increasingly respectful of older generations and makes better use of all the capital of information, knowledge, wisdom and experience. that the 'kotas' have ".

As for the platform's performance, it is summarized in three fundamental flagship projects: "Senior Panel", Bank of Hours "and" Boomerang ".

The first, explains a statement to which VerAngola had access, is a database, that is, a space in which any Angolan citizen, aged 60 or over, residing in the country or in the diaspora, can make his curriculum available regardless of academic qualifications, and share information about your technical-professional experience.

Regarding the "Banco de Horas", the coordinator explained that it is a tool that allows to count the service provision of each of the seniors, according to the requests made by legal entities, public or private, to benefit from the experience of those older ones.

"A few days ago, we were contacted by an institution that wanted to know to what extent the platform could collaborate with them in passing on the experience of older retirees, in a certain area, to the new generation of employees who have just joined the organization", exemplified one of the project coordinators.

The "Boomerang", on the other hand, is a kind of "double-edged sword", it is a space in which the younger generations will exchange impressions and interrelate with the elderly in aspects that are better dominated by young people. "For example, the use of new technologies is a case where the 'dikotas' can drink from the youngest," said the coordinator.

Still within the framework of the platform's action and penetration strategies throughout the national territory, the coordinator of the installation commission announced that the service "Balcão do Dikota" will be installed at the provincial level, where the older ones, in person or digitally, they will keep in touch with the project and get to know its essence.
