The "Dikota_E6.0" platform, presented this Friday in Luanda by the first lady, Ana Dias Lourenço, aims to enhance the experience and knowledge of seniors and promote an "advantageous sharing" of knowledge between the two generations.
For the former Minister of Petroleum, Albina Assis, 75, who congratulated the initiative, the project will allow the creation of places of generational integration where the values of families, education, religion, culture, science and even tradition can be "clearly debated".
"I would like to feel part of this project, although active, hoping that a new era of relationship between the generations will be built in our country," he said.
Lopo do Nascimento, former prime minister, who also attended the meeting, valued the initiative, considering it important to "share" knowledge between the elderly and the young generation, especially in the field of technology.
"Because most young people and 'dikotas' want this dialogue, this interaction," said the former prime minister, expressing his willingness to contribute to this project.
The former president of the National Union for the Total Independence of Angola (UNITA), Isaías Samakuva, classified Ana Dias Lourenço's initiative as "brilliant", stating that it "came to fill a gap that is living in the country.
For Samakuva, it is important for young people to learn from their elders and the latter from young people, considering the "Dikota_E6.0" with a "quite modern and comprehensive" space, especially with the use of new information technologies.
Ismael Martins, nationalist and former representative of Angola to the United Nations, who also intervened in the ceremony, congratulated the initiative, stating that Angola needs such projects to "continue".
The exercise of a "full, active and participative citizenship", the protection against all forms of discrimination against older people and the creation of spaces for cohabitation between young and old, in the public and private milieu, namely within the family and companies are some of the objectives of this platform.
