Government installs oxygen factory in Bengo. Production will help fight covid-19

In the next few days the country can expect an oxygen factory to be commissioned. Installed in Bengo, the plant will produce between 25 and 30 oxygen cylinders per day, which will be used in cases that require it for covid-19 treatment.

According to Victoria Cambunda, director of the Provincial Health Office, in order for the project to have legs to walk the provincial government of Bengo invested 75 million kwanzas.

The priority, according to the person in charge, cited by Angop, was to meet all the conditions so that the factory could start operating as soon as possible. Now that the project is practically finished, Victoria Cambuanda has made it known that part of the money, which the province received under the plan to fight covid-19, will be used to buy means of prevention against the pandemic.

Recently, she said, the Ministry of Health, through the Central de Compras de Medicamentos e Meio Técnicos (Drug and Technical Centre) delivered to the province several biosafety equipment - which is being distributed by the municipalities.
